Because the original remotes and parts have been discontinued, replacing a lost or broken old generation Remote requires converting the electronics with one of these conversion kits to control your bed base. We have several different kits available per base depending on budget and required functionality. This kit converts Tempurpedic Premier, and Grand bed base control boxes with an easy-to-install 3 piece conversion kit consisting of a new wireless remote (NO PRESETS ON THIS MODEL... Total installation should take no more than 5 minutes but it does require tipping the bed on its side or accessing the motor plugs under the bed.

We recommend plugging the new kit into a Surge Protector. This can be a power strip or single box, but its important to make sure the words "Surge Protector" or some variant are on the unit. Usually you can buy both at walmart but the power strip without surge protection is a dollar or two less. If you wanted to keep presets, such as a one touch, flat, zero gravity, or memory button… You would need to buy the deluxe or premium massage version as there is no upgrade option available down the road if you purchase the basic one.
