These mattresses come with premium cotton-bamboo zipper-covers which are very breathable and help to prevent odors. Though they are tufted to keep the materials in place, the zipper allows for the wool inside can be re-arranged or more can be added when necessary

Note: This is more of a Shiki futon rather than a traditional mattress. The wool content percentage is much higher than a normal bed so the manufacture recommends taking the mattress outside in the sun a few times a year for sterilization. Also, the wool will migrate and compact over the years but we put zippers on this bed so that you can stuff more inside (although it takes a little time and work to make it even) if needed. Contact us to purchase more wool. Because of these points, we highly recommend using this with our organic latex toppers to prevent the need to restuff or take the mattress outside to sterilize near as often.
